We have always been wondering, since when Tet has been around?
Tet starts when you wake up in the morning and feel the air suddenly becomes cooler than usual. It’s when everyone starts painting their house gates or picking up golden apricot blossom leaves. Tet starts when we excitedly ask each other whether we have booked train tickets, bus tickets coming home.
Those overlooked moments of “seen Tet” were captured by Comma through rustic pencil strokes, which were also the first images in the Tet special gift that Comma wants to send to everyone. It describes the feeling of being lightheaded when sending the Kitchen God off back to heaven, and the feeling of being agitated when looking at the bustling, vibrant streets on the train or bus platform.
And then, Comma realized, everyone has their own unique memories of Tet, hence, Tet can come anytime, no matter where. With the desire to demonstrate the “slices” of daily life as well as the idyllic moments of Tet, Comma chose the paper cutting method to create the depth of space and layers of light.
Lastly, this is a gift from Comma for you to celebrate Tet. A bit of sweet dried fruit, lucky envelopes, Tet sticky rice cakes or new calendars. Comma believes that, sometimes, a tiny candy can bring back memories, as well as a flourishing branch of gladiolus makes our soul delighted as we “See Tet”.
